We are excited to let you know that Explore Gaelic is offering a second webinar series with Gaelic graphic novel author-artist Angus MacLeod of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.
Dorsan is Angus’s second Gaelic graphic novel, due out in October 2022, featuring fifteen stories of eldritch horror and fantasy. Some even have happy endings! In the new series of webinars, Angus will work through each one of the stories, offering a literal translation from Gaelic, along with the inspirations and influences that led to the creation of each story. Those present on the Zoom will have the opportunity to ask questions and get clarification.
Students who register for the webinar will also need to purchase a copy of the graphic novel separately (see purchase options).
Although the book is not yet in our hands, PDF copies of the first few stories will be made available to those who register for the course, until each participant receives their copy of Dorsan in the mail.
This series of ten webinars will be recorded, so one can attend live or watch the recordings.
The webinar series started on Wednesday, September 21st at 3 pm Atlantic / 11 am Pacific, but Wednesday September 28th was cancelled due to Hurricane Fiona, so a makeup date will be added at the end and it will run until Wednesday, Nov 30. (Late registrants can access the recording of the 21 Sept. webinar and start attending live on Wed. October 5th.)
The webinar series cost is $150 Canadian.
