Happy International Bagpipe Day from all of us at Bradan Press!
Today we celebrate Bradan Press author and Cape Breton piper Barry W. Shears. Barry has been playing the bagpipe for almost 50 years, and is the author of our Play It Like You Sing It series. Play It Like You Sing It is available in two volumes. The first volume tells the story of many families and individuals who maintained their piping and Gaelic culture in Nova Scotia despite adversity. The second volume contains bagpipe arrangements and their Gaelic words as they were played and sung in Nova Scotia.
