Last month, Cape Breton Piper and author of our Play it Like You Sing it series, Barry Shears, traveled to Shepherdstown, West Virginia. It is certainly a long way from Nova Scotia! While there, Barry taught a weekend of classes on piping different dance styles of Cape Breton music. He later held a concert with other talented musicians.
