Tha i ag obair aig Colaisde na Gàidhlig agus a’ fuireach ann an Suidni a Tuath. Rinn i film goirid ‘sa Ghàidhlig leis an ainm “Cùm Romhad.”

Joyce MacDonald was born in Halifax and raised near Mabou, Cape Breton. She heard Gaelic among the older members of her family and community when she was young, and it made her sad that she couldn’t understand the language of her own people. She started learning Gaelic in high school. Many people helped her learn along the way, especially her grandmother Jessie MacDonald and her kinfolk Mary and Vincent MacKinnon. She now works at the Gaelic College and lives in North Sydney. She produced and directed the Gaelic short film “Cùm Romhad” [Keep Going].
