Due to rising fuel surcharges from Canada Post, Bradan Press is increasing our flat-rate shipping charge for book orders over 0.5 kg from $10 to $12 this Monday, March 14, 2022.
We have been charging a $10 flat rate for book shipments over 0.5 kg in Canada. The true shipping cost for these book orders is between $15-22 depending on the location in Canada. We can continue to absorb some of the cost, but unfortunately paper, printing, and shippping costs have also been rising at our suppliers for the past year, due to pandemic supply chain issues.
Canada Post raised its fuel surcharge again today, as it did last month, and as it has been on and off for several years now. Their fuel surcharges are now 22% of base shipping rates.
Just a heads-up that we may have to raise the flat-rate shipping again in the next few months, to $14 or $15. So if you have been thinking about ordering something special from our online shop, now is a great time to do it!
