Unfortunately, due to the current tariff situation we have to suspend Nova Scotia Gaelic flag orders to the USA starting Friday, June 13, 2025.
Please note that the CUTOFF DATE for any Gaelic flag orders to the USA is 5 PM Eastern on Thursday, June 12, 2025. If you can place your order by then, we will be able to have someone hand-carry it to the USA this month and mail it from there.
The flags are manufactured in China for our supplier, which means that if we ship an order to a customer in the USA, the US CBP will charge the customer the current US tariff on goods made in China, even when receiving the parcel from Canada. At this moment the tariff looks to be at least 30%, meaning that US customers will now pay at least a 30% tax to the US government on Gaelic flags ordered from us. Of course this tariff is also liable to change at a moment’s notice due to the current political situation.
If US tariffs against China are lifted in the future, of course we will be pleased to start accepting flag orders from the USA again! Thank you for your understanding.
This issue does not apply to our books, which are printed in Canada. Our book shipments to the USA remain tariff-free!
This issue also does not apply to Gaelic flag orders from Canada which will continue as usual.
